At the 6th Annual General Meeting of BVMS in Berlin, the deserved winner of the election for the Security Employee of the Year 2021 (m/f/d) was awarded - Bülent Yilmaz.

The worthy setting for the award ceremony was provided by the expert members of the association, consisting of specialists and managers of medium-sized security companies, and the conference location in the heart of Berlin, the large hall of the Hotel Titanic Chaussee.

The award winner, Bülent Yilmaz, clearly prevailed over his qualified competitors in the election with 64% of the votes. All the competitors were highly qualified and equally deserving of the victory.

Mr. Bülent Yilmaz was a soldier in the army for 20 years and has been working for Pond Security Service GmbH for 19 years. Mr. Yilmaz is also involved in the works council for his colleagues.

In his acceptance speech, he emphasized that his goal was always to be there for his colleagues, to support them and to pass on the experience he had gained. He gave special thanks to his family and to his employer, Pond Security Service GmbH, for their great support.

A tradition of appreciation - the development of the "Security Employee of the Year (m/f/d)" award

The essential feature of the award ceremony is the appreciation for the hard-working security employees. The aim of the annual award ceremony is to focus on the outstanding performance of security employees for society. We are therefore pleased that we have been able to continuously develop the significance of the award in recent years.

Among other things, we have succeeded in doing so by expanding the competence of the jury, in the person of Mr. Steffen Ebert, Publishing Director at Wiley Verlag, GIT Sicherheit. Together with Klaus Bouillon (1st Chairman, Bundesverband mittelst. Sicherheitsunternehmen e. V.) and Michael Kulig (Managing Director COREDINATE GmbH) he forms the jury, which makes a professional pre-selection. However, the decision on the winner is in the hands of a broad public, in which everyone can participate.

The BVMS Annual General Meeting in Berlin provided the first opportunity in a long time for real face-to-face communication with association members. There were a variety of topics to deal with: Changes to the statutes, elections, honors and the presentation of the collective bargaining agreement drafted by the BVMS bargaining committee.
