Congratulations on your award! What does this title mean to you personally?

Thank you very much. I felt very honored to receive this award. For me personally, it is a recognition and appreciation of my work and efforts. However, I see myself as a representative of all security employees.

What originally motivated you to work in the security industry?

Originally, it was actually the opportunity to attend various locations, events, and concerts.

What special challenges have you mastered in your daily work that contributed to this honor?

Stepping out of my comfort zone to face situations that require new learning, implementation, and growth. The effective collaboration between legal regulations, technical know-how, and years of professional experience.

Is there an experience or assignment you are particularly proud of? 

That is a tough question. I have been in the security industry for 23 years and have experienced a lot. There are certainly many situations, events, and moments I am proud of. However, I cannot prioritize them.

What skills or qualities do you think are essential for an outstanding security employee? 

Essential qualities in the security service include friendliness, communication skills, customer-oriented behavior, teamwork, vigilance, and above all, trustworthiness. In my opinion, an outstanding security employee is not defined by specific skills or qualities but by the ability to act correctly in any situation.

How has the industry changed in recent years, and what developments do you see for the future? 

In recent years, due to political circumstances, we have seen a realignment of the security industry with ever-increasing demands. The era of specialization in the security sector has long begun. The framework conditions are constantly changing, and the integration of personnel, digitization, and the use of technology and AI are essential. In the coming years, we can expect a paradigm shift in our approach to digital security, driven by new technologies, evolving threat landscapes, and changing societal norms.

Do you have any advice for young professionals who want to succeed in the security industry? 

Continuous education is the key to success in this constantly evolving security industry. One must be open to new ideas, communicate openly and trustfully, develop passion, and above all: a supportive work environment and enjoyment of one's profession are crucial for long-term success in working with both colleagues and clients.
