More on Lone Worker Protection
In the security guard service, you usually work alone – and that too in conditions that are not exactly easy, usually at night, in harsh environments and in wind and weather. If your employee does not work with COREDINATE® for a period of time that you can set, this could be a sign of a serious incident. If the employee does not react to the pre-alarm either, a so-called "dead man's alarm" is sent.
In the event of an alarm, the app establishes a voice connection to any number and makes it easier to locate the person who may have been injured by emitting a clearly audible alarm tone. The alarm is even displayed on a map in the portal, making it even easier to locate the person. In addition, measures initiated can be recorded directly in relation to the alarm. If desired, you can receive an e-mail with the last known location and checkpoint scan of the employee.
The COREDINATE "Workplace Protection" function is used to protect employees who are working alone and therefore cannot be supervised by colleagues. If an accident occurs at work, there is then no other person available to notify the emergency services. COREDINATE® can then take over this function, as the alerting of specific persons can be done either automatically or manually by the injured person via the app.
We strongly recommend that you explain the procedures of workplace safety to your employees in detail and also fix them uniformly in the form of an instruction so that clear guidelines for action are given in the event of an emergency. The employers' liability insurance association also offers a corresponding sample form for this purpose.
COREDINATE® workplace protection currently responds to two triggers, the manual alarm, which the user triggers himself by pressing an alarm button, and a time alarm, which triggers after a certain inactive time has elapsed. We explain the difference in a little more detail below.
In this case, the employee is still able to trigger an alarm himself by pressing a specific button on the smartphone. This can be relevant, for example, in the event of a robbery or if the employee is injured but is still able to operate the smartphone.
Understandably, the alarm button function must work absolutely reliably and there is no uniform standard either for the design of such an alarm button on the smartphone or for addressing it via the software. A corresponding alarm button can currently be used via COREDINATE® with various smartphones – such as the CROSSCALL-M5 or the CROSSCALL-X5. You can order this device directly in our store, which you can reach via our portal - of course, our sales department will also be happy to help you on the phone at +49 9842/80491-20.
If your employee does not work actively with COREDINATE® for a longer period of time, this may be a sign that he is no longer able to do so due to an accident or even an assault. In this case, COREDINATE® can detect the inactivity and trigger an alarm. In contrast to classical "dead man's alarms", which react e.g. to inclination, the monitoring of inactivity largely excludes false alarms. False alarms are also largely prevented by the pre-alarm for the employee within the app, which always occurs beforehand, because the employee can still react in time and signal that he or she is unharmed.
Our workplace safeguarding complies with the strict regulations of VDE V0825-11 and can even be subsidized by your employers' liability insurance association. In addition, in the future your team will no longer have to think about the regular safety messages to colleagues by phone – COREDINATE takes over this protection reliably and without much effort. The app is also available for iOS.
Annoying routine messages for the central offices of the individual properties became obsolete. Individual workstation security for our employees can now be optimally operated with just one system.
