Our jury – Steffen Ebert (Editor-in-Chief of the trade magazine GIT), Lars Müller (President of BVMS), and Michael Kulig (Managing Director of COREDINATE GmbH) – has made its decision! From numerous applications, six outstanding candidates were selected who have already made significant achievements in their careers as security employees.

The award for Sicherheitsmitarbeiter des Jahres is a special highlight, as it honors the remarkable dedication and tireless commitment of professionals in the security industry. Security employees make a decisive contribution every day to the protection of people and property – often in the background, but always indispensable. Initiated by our management (COREDINATE GmbH, the efficient guard patrol tour system^®) and the Federal Association Bundesverband Mittelständischer Sicherheitsunternehmen (BVMS), this award sends a strong signal of recognition for an industry that plays a crucial role in the security of our society.

This award recognizes the outstanding achievements of the applicants and at the same time highlights the importance of the entire security industry. It brings attention to a profession that is often underestimated and still underrepresented in society – helping to enhance its reputation.

The event provides an ideal opportunity for security professionals to network, exchange experiences, and further professionalize the industry. The winner of the title Sicherheitsmitarbeiter des Jahres 2025 will not only receive special recognition but also a 500-euro Amazon voucher as well as a night in a hotel in Düsseldorf, sponsored by BVSW, where the award ceremony will take place at the end of April as part of the BVMS members' meeting.
