Terms and conditions of participation

Please read the terms and conditions before applying yourself or nominating a candidate.

1. The responsible organizer is COREDINATE GmbH (COREDINATE^®).

2. Eligible to participate are all employed and self-employed security staff who are at least 18 years old and reside in Germany, Austria, or Switzerland.

3. COREDINATE^® reserves the right to exclude participants from the Security Employee of the Year Election at its discretion and without giving reasons.

4. This is particularly the case if participants intentionally violate the terms and conditions or provide false information about themselves. There is no right to participate in the Security Employee of the Year Election.

5. COREDINATE^® is always entitled to change the terms and conditions without giving reasons. The changes will be announced on coredinate.de and will not be explicitly sent by email to the participants.

6. If legal reasons prevent the Security Employee of the Year Election or its process, COREDINATE^® can terminate the election at any time and without giving reasons.

7. The participant guarantees that no third-party rights stand in the way of participation in the Security Employee of the Year Election and that the submitted photo is free from third-party rights.

8. The participant (m/f/d) agrees that their submitted photo, new recordings (in the context of the Security Employee of the Year Election), and their name may be used by COREDINATE^® and its partners without any restrictions on spatial, temporal, or content-related scope and for all relevant usage purposes and in all media free of charge. This includes use for commercial and advertising purposes. The participant grants COREDINATE^® and its partners a non-exclusive right to use the submitted photo and the new recordings created during the Security Employee of the Year Election. This includes – while respecting personal rights – editing, retouching, and using the images for montages. The participant confirms that with the acceptance of these terms and conditions, all claims arising from the duplication, distribution, exhibition, or public display of the images against COREDINATE^® and its partners have been settled. Only German law applies to this agreement and release statement. It is irrevocable.

9. The participant also agrees to make themselves available free of charge for promotional purposes by COREDINATE^® (interviews, photo shoots). The current Security Employee of the Year agrees to be available for interviews, photo shoots, and a maximum of three selected official events of COREDINATE^®.

10. The participant assures that all provided information is truthful.

11. Legal recourse is excluded.

12. The application form must be completed in full, as incomplete applications cannot be considered.

13. A participant who has placed 1st, 2nd, or 3rd may not be nominated again.
