Terms and Conditions

Please read the terms and conditions before applying yourself or nominating a candidate.

This is a convenience translation. The German version is legally binding.

1. 01

   The responsible organizer is COREDINATE GmbH (COREDINATE^®).

2. 02

   Eligible to participate are all employed and self-employed security staff who are at least 18 years old and reside in Germany, Austria, or Switzerland.

3. 03

   COREDINATE^® reserves the right to exclude participants from the election at its sole discretion and without stating reasons.

4. 04

   This applies in particular if participants culpably violate these terms and conditions or participate under false personal information. There is no entitlement to participation.

5. 05

   COREDINATE^® is entitled to amend these terms and conditions at any time without stating reasons. Amendments will be published on coredinate.de and will not be sent to participants individually by email.

6. 06

   Should legal reasons preclude the election or its proceedings, COREDINATE^® may terminate the election at any time and without stating reasons.

7. 07

   The participant warrants that no third-party rights conflict with their participation and that the submitted photograph is free of third-party rights.

8. 08

   The participant agrees that their submitted photograph, any new recordings created in connection with the election, and their name may be reproduced, exhibited, and publicly displayed by COREDINATE^® and its partners free of charge, without restriction as to spatial, temporal, or content-related scope, for all applicable purposes, and in all media. This includes use for commercial and advertising purposes. The participant grants COREDINATE^® and its partners a non-exclusive right of use to the submitted photograph and any new recordings. This includes – while respecting personal rights – editing, retouching, and use of the images for montages. By accepting these terms and conditions, the participant confirms that all claims arising from the reproduction, distribution, exhibition, or public display of the images against COREDINATE^® and its partners are hereby fully settled and discharged. This agreement and release declaration shall be governed exclusively by German law. It is irrevocable.

   The participant agrees to make themselves available free of charge for promotional purposes by COREDINATE^® (interviews, photo shoots). The reigning Security Employee of the Year agrees to be available for interviews, photo shoots, and a maximum of three selected official COREDINATE^® events.

    The participant assures that all information provided is truthful.

    Legal recourse is excluded.

    The application form must be completed in full; incomplete applications cannot be considered.

    A participant who has placed 1st, 2nd, or 3rd may not be nominated again.
